Lead poisoning can leave children with lower IQ’s, learning difficulties and a greater likelihood of behavior problems. “If a child ingests a paint chip the size of a fingernail, that can cause lead poisoning, ‘said Stacy Ross, a public health nurse with the Brown County Health Dept. “It's gets into the air, and it lands on the window seal or on the ground by the window,” said Ross.
